Skills

• At least 10 yrs of experience architecting production solutions
• Disaster Recovery design experience is a plus, especially involving P V and BMR solutions
• At least 1 year of consulting experience

Expertise
• Broad technical expertise across multiple technologies
• OS Recovery (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux, Windows, VMWare, AS400, Mainframe…)
• Backup Technology Recovery (Tivoli Storage Manager, NetBackup, Commvault, Data Domain, Backup Exec, Networker…)
• Virtualization (VMware ESX, Microsoft's Hyper-V, VMM, & Virtual Server, Xen)
• Application Recovery (MS Exchange, SAP, Oracle Apps, SharePoint)
• RDBMS Recovery (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, MySQL) including cluster
• High Availability (Cluster solutions, Real Application Cluster…)
• Storage Solutions (EMC, Hitachi, HP…) including disk replication
• Replication Technologies (EMC Avamar, Hitachi TrueCopy, EMC HomeBase, FalconStor, EMC RecoverPoint, IBM Global Mirror, Hitachi Universal Replication)

Technical Competencies
• Solid working knowledge of network and systems design principles including routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers
• Infrastructure services recovery to include DNS, Active Directory and other Directory Services implementations
• Backup and Storage solutions to include physical and virtual environments
• Advanced knowledge Multi-Tier Application architecture design
• Specific knowledge of Databases and best practices related to backup/restore
• Must have the ability to analyze technical documentation and identify gaps/risks
• Strong writing skills to produce technical documentation is a MUST
• Ability to lead technical working sessions

Technical Leadership
• Proven experience leading the delivery of complex DR testing services
• Tenacious work ethic, doing whatever it takes with resolve, integrity and an appropriate sense of urgency to meet deadlines and get the job done.
