Candidate should have 7-10 years' experience in a senior engineer role, with exposure to multiple technologies. Most of this time should have been in a hands-on IT service delivery and production support role.
Experience must include operating systems (multiple flavors of UNIX), Windows, Citrix, Virtualization, storage administration, firewalls and networking, backup technologies and security.
Possess a good understanding of data flow in complex multitier database and application environments
Be a self-starter – have a history of initiating, leading and completing quality improvement projects.
Possess strong interpersonal customer service and communications skills (written and oral) are required, for both internal and client facing matters.
Possess ability to lead and direct technical staff through crisis and escalated situations.
Be adaptable, able and willing to learn new technologies.
Working knowledge of project management and strong time management skills are required.
Must be a self-starter and able to effectively work in a team as well as individual contributor environment
